Airbrushing Makes It One of a Kind

Airbrushing is an excellent way to create artistic custom paint jobs on almost any surface. It is commonly used to paint cars, motorcycles, helmets, t-shirts, pottery and much more. Paint is blown by air pressure out of a nozzle in a thin layer and onto the surface you wish to paint. If done correctly, this paint application method insures a smooth, even paint job.

When airbrushing, always start with the base layer of paint in the darkest color you intend to use. Apply coats of paint starting with the darkest color, and then progressively working through the paint colors from darkest to lightest; this insures the best final color and that every color is visible. When applying multiple layers of paint in this manner, it is important to allow each coat to dry completely before starting on the next.

Use an airbrush with a siphon hose to paint large surfaces. This insures that you do not have to stop to refill your canister in the middle of a large project. The siphon hose is put directly into the main canister of your paint. Make sure that the paint is well mixed before you start painting so that the color is even throughout.
